Following publication, concerns were raised about data reliability, potential overlap with another publication by the authors 1 , and inconsistencies between the registered protocol and reported methods.
The authors responded to highlight the differences between the two papers but were unable to provide the raw data underlying their article and relevant protocol approvals.
Following review by the journal Editor and due to the unresolved concerns that call into question the validity of the findings the article has been retracted.
The authors did not respond when notified of the retraction.
