Abstract
In recent years there has been an increasing interest in new means for the determination of gases in metals. The purpose of this review is to summarise the principles involved in the method of stable isotope dilution and to outline the techniques so far employed by investigators in this field. Its limitations as well as its advantages will be discussed and the results compared, when possible, with those obtained by other methods of analysis.
