Abstract
The present study provides a direct replication of previous research which assessed the effects of experimenter bias on behavioral recordings. The two behaviors targeted for biased statements evidenced more change in observers' scorings from “baseline” to “treatment” tape segments than the two control behaviors. Additional analyses on these changes in observers' scorings indicated an increase in the number of omissions. This study replicated the effects obtained in previous research. Future research should attempt to assess the magnitude of bias effects in single-subject paradigms.
