Bieri (1955) developed the Modified Role Repertory Test to measure cognitive complexity at the college and adult level based on Kelly's (1955) theory of personality. The purpose of the present study was to determine whether Bieri's instrument can be adapted for classroom use to enable measurement of the same personality constructs at the elementary school level. The adult and child forms, Modified Role Repertory Test and Adapted Modified Role Repertory Test, respectively, were found to be comparable.
