Foot & Ankle Orthopaedics ( FAO ) is a scholarly journal of the American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society (AOFAS). This open access medical journal emphasizes surgical and medical management of foot and ankle disorders with a specific focus on reconstructive, trauma, and sports-related conditions utilizing the latest technological advances. It offers original peer-reviewed articles including: clinical and basic science research, meta-analyses, systematic and contemporary reviews, case reviews, hot topics, research designs and technique tips. FAO is committed to maintaining the same standards of quality and editorial oversight offered by FAI . All papers considered suitable for peer review will undergo a rigorous double-anonymized peer review process, including a minimum of two peer reviewers and the Editor-in-Chief (and an Associate Editor, if warranted).
