Community Health Equity Research & Policy (CHERP) publishes work that uses research and policy approaches centering health equity, being inclusive of community health, health policy, and public health and health care systems. The journal seeks to address the gap between academic research and practice by engaging in community-partnered, culture centered, and multidisciplinary research to investigate the social production of health disparities. This broad focus attends to the need for new and creative thinking to identify multi-sectoral and policy solutions to persistent health inequities. The journal stresses the systematic application of social science theories and methodologies to address pressing public health concerns. Environmental and structural changes are emphasized as long-lasting solutions to inequities, with victim-blaming approaches roundly critiqued. The journal welcomes submissions about research with communities experiencing health inequalities across the globe, including underserved communities in the U.S. Submissions using mixed-methods and community-based participatory research, participatory action research, and other types of community-engaged research, and those that describe the roles of various partners and prioritizes community governance, are welcomed. This includes development of community-driven policy and multi-level interventions, as well as implementation evaluation. Submit your manuscript today at https://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/qch .
