On Symmetric Sum of Sub-Independent Random Variables

Abstract

This note is intended to complement the interesting work of J. Behboodian (1989, 1 heorems 1 and 2) on the symmetry of the sum of independent random variables. We recall a concept, which is much weaker than independence, but can replace the assumption of independence in the above mentioned results as well as in many important theorems in Probability and Statistics.
