The calculation of multivariable functions from data tables often constitutes a major portion of the overall computational requirements associated with the simulation of dynamic systems. This paper discusses a new approach that uses off-line computation to prepare modified data tables which then execute more rapidly during the on-line, real-time computation, Two practical examples, a six-degree-of-fteedom missile simulation program and a six-degree-of- freedom aircraft simulation program, are used to demonstrate the new approach, in which the frame times are reduced by 19% and 11%, respectively.
