Abstract
Practical Health Promotion provides practical tips and steps equipping new health promotion students and practitioners with skills and competencies needed to be effective and successful in the field. The “health promotion through the life course” perspective enhances the depth and relevancy for health promotion needs assessment and tailored intervention development. Key health promotion strategies and methods with practical guides including one-to-one communication, health promotion with groups, and using mass media, print media, electronic media, and advocacy are discussed in the text.
