Abstract
The quartz crystals manufacturing process is in‘uenced by several factors that have a great in‘uence in the frequency behaviour of the crystals. Since it is necessary to develop designs with very strict specifications related to frequency stability, it is important to have a good knowledge of the manufacturing process in‘uence and its capability. Therefore, this paper presents a study of the variability associated with the manufacturing process. Moreover, the frequency versus temperature characteristic is studied, depending on the process uncertainty. Also, the measurement technique employed and the manufacturing process are outlined.
