Abstract
Abstract
With the recent appearance of quantitative numerical simulations of the elastohydrodynamic lubrication of concentrated contacts, accurate models that can reproduce the behaviour that has been observed in viscometers for more than 50 years are now needed. This article summarizes the most recent work regarding modelling the temperature and pressure dependence of density, the temperature, pressure, and shear dependence of viscosity, and the pressure and shear dependence of the stress at localization. Thermal conductivity is addressed as well.
