European Journal of Inflammation is a peer - reviewed, open - access journal publishing research across the full spectrum of inflammation science — from fundamental mechanisms and biomolecular pathways to translational studies and clinical research. As a multidisciplinary platform, the journal welcomes mechanistic and molecular investigations and pre - clinical studies — including in vitro work, animal models, and other experimental approaches — alongside translational, clinical, and patient - focused studies. The journal publishes research spanning immunology, pathology, pharmacology, omics, and related disciplines with direct relevance to inflammation and inflammation - associated disease. The journal places strong emphasis on mechanistic depth and methodological rigour, and it particularly welcomes cross - disciplinary research that bridges basic, translational, and clinical science. European Journal of Inflammation is committed to methodological rigour, transparent reporting, and reproducibility. Our goal is to publish sound science. This means we look for research that adheres to ethical standards, uses robust methodologies that are transparent and reproducible, and uses appropriate statistical analyses to ensure clear, credible, and trustworthy results. We care more about the quality and reliability of the contribution an article makes than we do the size of that contribution. European Journal of Inflammation evaluates manuscripts based on how the research was conducted and reported. The journal provides broad international visibility through indexing in Clarivate Analytics Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE), Scopus, ProQuest, and the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ). As a fully open - access journal, all articles are freely available to readers worldwide, enabling wide dissemination and discoverability. The journal is a member of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) . For more information on the journal’s remit, please see the Aims & Scope tab. Diversity, Equity and Inclusion statement European Journal of Inflammation promotes inclusive, open science that reflects the disciplinary, human, and geographic diversity of the research community.
