Abstract
Researchers and practitioners continue to explore different approaches to enhance the effectiveness of talent management, recognising that talent remains a critical priority for organisations today. One such approach is talent supply chain management (TSCM), which applies supply chain management principles to talent management. However, empirical evidence on the extent to which TSCM influences business performance is still limited. This study presents a case of a tier-1 organisation in the Indian IT industry, highlighting the process of implementing a talent supply chain system (TSCS) and its implications for the organisation. A single case study design is employed. The findings reveal the role of a dedicated TSC team and the integration of AI in enabling an effective TSCS. The case further offers insights and implications for other organisations based on the experiences of the focal company. Additionally, the limitations of the approach are discussed, along with directions for future research.
